The world duplication argument points to the fact that the distinction between reality and fiction is itself a distinction that is both real and fictional. Fictionality is understood as the transformation of something identical into something virtual, which, on closer inspection, also applies to the non-fictional duplication of the world in scientific, artistic, political or economic logics. The article shows how close art and science are, which, unlike other duplications, have to make them visible themselves.
